For adults: Males consume the juices and sap of plants while females feed on the blood of animals and humans.
For larvae: They feed on microorganisms in the water.
Itching and insomnia. Possible diseases: Encephalin by the Culex mosquito, yellow fever by the Aedes mosquito and malaria by the Anopheles mosquito.
